DG ISPR is right to highlight indigenous capabilities. The defense industry has come a long way. But self-reliance in defense also means reducing dependency on foreign suppliers for spare parts and tech.
We are prepared for what exactly? The statement is too vague. The public deserves to know about specific capabilities and threats. PR exercises don’t inspire confidence.
